On behalf of Mississippi Land Bank, congratulations to one of our borrowers, Mike Lewis, for being recognized as a Distinguished Alumni Fellow for the Mississippi State State University Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Health Promotion.

Mississippi Land Bank is a proud supporter of 4-H and FFA, and the biggest livestock exhibition in Mississippi: The Dixie Nationals. This year, 1,500 young people exhibited over 2,000 head of livestock, in hopes of securing a spot in the Sale of Junior Champions.

Mississippi Land Bank is cooperatively-owned, which means our members share in the profits generated from our lending activity in the form of patronage dividends and have a voice in the business decisions for the association. At our annual stockholder meeting, members have the opportunity to vote for their board of directors. This year, two of our board members were re-elected to their positions: Larry Davis in the Cleveland territory and Dr. Mac Alan Blaine in the Starkville territory.
