At this year’s Annual Stockholders Meeting, Board Chairman Abbott Myers recognized outgoing directors, James Gordon Robinson and Travis Satterfield for their service to the Land Bank. We are so thankful to have had both of these great men serve and direct the work of our association.

At this year’s Annual Stockholders Meeting, Board Chairman Abbott Myers recognized outgoing directors, James Gordon Robinson and Travis Satterfield for their service to the Land Bank. We are so thankful to have had both of these great men serve and direct the work of our association.

James Gordon Robinson

Mr. Robinson is the recently retired president of Robinson Brothers Farms, Inc. where he was a beef cattle, dairy, and row crop farmer of 2,200 acres in northern Lee county. He is a committee member of Town Creek Waste Water Management, a board member of Cedar Hill Fire Department, and a member of the Lee County Cattleman’s Association. Mr. Robinson lives in Guntown, Mississippi with his wife, Joyce. He served on the Mississippi Land Bank Board of Directors for 20 years.

Travis Satterfield

Mr. Satterfield is a graduate of Delta State University and is currently associated with Satterfield Farms, which produces rice, soybeans, corn, and wheat. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Delta Council and the Bolivar County Farm Bureau. Mr. Satterfield looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Nancy, at their home in Benoit, Mississippi. He served on the Mississippi Land Bank Board of Directors for five and a half years.

Myers also congratulated newly elected Director Gregory Robbins and re-elected Director Calvin Ozier.

Gregory Robbins

Mr. Robbins owns and operates a 4,500-acre row crop and timber farm primarily in Benton County. He raises 1,650 acres of soybeans and corn. He earned his BBA from the University of Mississippi in 1986. He formerly managed Chilli Creek Plantation, an outfitting service catering to clientele from across the United States. He also owned and operated RFI Tree Nursery from 2000-2011. He is a past member of the New Albany Zoning Board, the New Albany Endowment for Education Board, and the Mississippi State Extension Advisory Committee. Mr. Robbins is also involved in various ministries through his church, the First United Methodist Church in New Albany. He and his wife, Jill, have three children and two grandchildren, and reside in New Albany.

Calvin Ozier

Mr. Ozier is the CEO of UWT Logistics, LLC. He raises beef cattle and timber on approximately 400 acres in Marshall County. He is a current board member and past president of the Marshall County Cattleman’s Association and the Marshall County Forestry Association. He is also a past president of the Southeastern Warehouse Association. He is a member of the First Evangelical Church in Memphis, Tenneessee. He and his wife, Brenda, reside in Memphis and enjoy spending time at their farm residence in Marshall County. The Oziers have three children and 13 grandchildren.
